Will you join us by standing up for cows trapped in the dairy industry?
On Friday 25 April we visited Starbucks UK’s London HQ to deliver our petition urging them to make oat milk the default. They refused to meet with us. So now we’re heading to Starbucks stores, on the week commencing 2 June across the UK, to speak to customers directly. We’re hitting the streets to shine a light on the Arlarming reality behind dairy, and challenge customers of Starbucks to try oat milk in their coffee. Our week of action will feature outreach events up and down the country, along with online actions you can get involved in.
Action Pack Contents
We’ll be handing out impactful leaflets, showing footage from the investigation, and offering free oat milk samples to encourage a shift toward plant-based options. It's a friendly way to inspire compassion and start meaningful conversations. Outreach packs are provided for free and include everything you need: posters, stickers, leaflets, and more. Get in touch if you would like to set up an event in your area.

If you are unable to host a stall, would you consider door-dropping our leaflets instead? Keep an eye on our socials and we will notify you when our new door stopper leaflets are available.
Confirmed Events
Due to organiser availability some events will fall out of the Week of Action, which will help apply pressure on Starbucks through the entire month. Keep checking back, as there will be many more added as we confirm all the details with the groups.

Maximise Your Event
Our action packs are just the starting point for your event, there are several ways to make your event more visually impressive and impactful. We encourage you to add more elements into your event and to get creative while still keeping the focus on our campaign. Here are some of our recommendations that will help take your event to the next level. We have broken them down into actions to take before the event, elements you can incorporate during the event and follow up actions you can take afterwards to maximise the success of your event.
Before the Event
Promote widely: Go beyond your own social media. Contact local activist and vegan groups, and post in Facebook communities. Share the event in local Messenger, WhatsApp, or Telegram activism chats to expand your reach.
Choose a high-footfall location: Busy shopping streets or intersecting pedestrian areas are ideal. Find the busiest Starbucks in your area, and set-up nearby.
Add food outreach: Ask vegan brands for sample donations. Milk samples will work especially well. Offering free treats draws people in and makes engagement easier.
During the Event
Get creative: Costumes, plush toys, or fun hats make your stall more family-friendly and attention-grabbing. The more engaging your setup, the more likely people are to stop and talk.
Use a speaker: Music can lift the mood, reduce tension, and draw crowds, helping your event feel more vibrant and welcoming.
Show impactful footage: Set up a screen with headphones and play short videos from our investigations. Consider offering a reward, like a chocolate bar, for watching to the end.
Take great photos: Share images in local groups and online with a positive recap of conversations or outcomes. Tag us so we can amplify your event on our platforms too.
Record outreach conversations: If someone in your team is confident with public engagement, capture a few standout interactions. These can inspire others and demonstrate the power of direct action.
After the Event
Plan a team social: Head to a vegan café or restaurant to reflect, bond, and celebrate. It’s a great way to build a strong activist community.
Use leftover leaflets: Door-drop extras in your local area or leave them in community centers. Every leaflet could spark a conversation that leads to change, so don’t let them go to waste.
The Arlarming Reality of Dairy
Starbucks UK continues to source milk from Arla, the UK’s largest dairy cooperative, which we have exposed for horrific acts of abuse. Our undercover investigation at Lowfields Farm, an Arla supplier, revealed heartbreaking scenes of animal abuse, which was covered by over 25 major media outlets in March. Now, with your help, we’re bringing the truth directly to the public as they enter Starbucks stores.

Tens of thousands of people have signed a petition to the CPS over their “inaction” on an undercover investigation at Gressingham Foods slaughterhouse.
