On Saturday 22 November, we will be in Nottingham with a striking crime-scene art piece exposing how cows die for dairy

Our campaign urging Starbucks to make oat milk the default has entered an exciting new phase. Last week, we released an Open Letter backed by environmental leaders, health professionals, sanctuaries, academics, and public figures. All are united in calling on Starbucks to pilot default oat milk in a UK store and take meaningful action on sustainability.

This letter represents a growing demand for change. As the climate and animal protection crises intensify, the public expects global brands to step up. Starbucks has the platform and influence to lead; yet, continues to rely on dairy that causes immense suffering and environmental harm. We are challenging that status quo.

Taking Action with us

To build on this momentum, we are bringing this message to the streets. On Saturday 22 November, we will be in Nottingham with a striking crime-scene art piece exposing how cows die for dairy, alongside public outreach and engagement.

This impactful outreach event will feature a powerful visual stunt: life like ‘cow corpses’ wrapped in white rubbish bags placed outside Starbucks, a chain that sources 100% of its dairy from Arla, the UK's largest dairy supplier which we exposed for horrific acts of abuse.

This action will show Starbucks, and the wider public, that customers want a compassionate, climate-friendly future. We will speak with passers-by, share vital information, and stand in solidarity with the animals suffering behind every dairy latte.

Whether you have taken part in previous actions or this will be your first time, your presence matters. Together, we can demonstrate the strength and determination of this movement.

This Movement Is Growing

Your support has brought us to this point. With your continued commitment, we are showing that the future is plant-based, and that Starbucks must evolve with the times. Thank you for being part of this change. Let’s continue building momentum and demanding change.

As always,

For the animals
