Our mobile gas chamber toured around London including Parliament and Defra.

On the back of launching our brand-new campaign, Turn Off The Gas, we headed to London with our mobile gas chamber to place it directly in front of Government, policy makers and supermarket giant Sainsbury’s.

Alongside a dedicated group of animal advocates, including Actor Peter Egan, and Leader of the Animal Welfare Party, Vanessa Hudson, we positioned our gas chamber outside DEFRA and Sainsbury’s HQ.

DEFRA refused to talk to us, and Sainsbury’s locked down their entire head office, not even allowing staff back into the building. Why? Because they cannot face the truth. Sainsbury’s boasts about gassing 100% of their British pigs to death, yet their customers have no idea.

Sainsbury’s, if you’re so proud, label it! We are calling on Simon Roberts, the supermarket’s CEO, to label all of their British ‘pork’ products with a ‘method of slaughter’ sticker.

Will you add your voice and sign our petition?

Bringing gas chambers into the conversation isn’t easy. No one wants to face the reality that 90% of all British pigs are gassed to death, but it’s an issue we need to bring to the forefront. With the Government’s imminent consultation on gassing, we will continue being loud and unrelenting, and I hope that we can count on you to be by our side. We know how deeply you care about the rights of animals, and to make systemic change, it’s going to take all of us to stand up for our animal friends.

The stark reality is that everything we do relies on kind donors who fund our work and bring conversations like these into mainstream media, directly to Government and to consumers. If you’re able to, please consider making a donation today, and we will utilise it in the most impactful way that we can. Our team at Animal Justice Project is relentless and dedicated, and fuelling our work enables us to keep fighting the best we can for our fellow pigs, and for all animals.

To take down this giant, it’s going to take an army, and I know that we can count on you to join the fight.

As always,

For the animals.
